How We Protect YOU from Cross-Infection

• All equipment & instruments, including metal cups and drills, are changed after every patient. To do this, we keep a large inventory of instruments.

• All metal instruments e.g. cups, trays, drills and even drill bits, are cleaned in an ultrasonic machine to remove visible debris, and then sterilized in a medical autoclave, under pressurised steam at a temperature of 134 ° C

• Items like injection needles, gloves and saliva suction tips etc, are thrown away after a single use. These discarded items are taken away by a licensed contractor and incinerated separately as medical waste.

• Surfaces like table tops, the dental chair and attached equipment are wiped with disinfectant.

• Our infection control procedures have been audited by the Ministry of Health.
